NGC 5248 is an intermediate spiral galaxy located around 70 million lightyears away. It is somewhat smaller than our own galaxy, with a diameter of approximately 85,000 lightyears.
This image is the result of 5h 45m of RGB data capture from Horsham, over seven evenings in April and May 2025. A ZWO ASI2600MM Pro camera was used, through an 8-inch Teleskop-Service Ritchey-Chretien reflector.
