This classic unbarred spiral galaxy in the faint southern constellation of Antlia, is around 40 million lightyears distant. It has many star-forming regions and is very similar in size to our own galaxy.
This LRGB image is the result of 3h30m of remote data capture from New South Wales, over three evenings in April 2023, using a 17-inch Planewave CDK reflector and Moravian G4 16000 camera.
