This spiral galaxy with a compact stellar nucleus, is one of the closest to our Local Group of galaxies. It is approximately 6 million lightyears away and around 94,000 lightyears in diameter, so slightly smaller than our galaxy.
This LRGBHa image is the result of 2 hours of remote data capture from New South Wales, on a night in October 2021, using a 17-inch Planewave CDK reflector and FLI Proline PL 16803 camera.
