NGC 7129 in Cepheus

NGC 7129 is a reflection nebula around 3,300 light years away in the constellation Cepheus. The nebula is approximately 6 lightyears across and less than a million years old. A young open cluster containing energetic blue-white stars is responsible for illuminating the surrounding nebula.

This LRGB image is the result of just over 9h of data capture from Horsham, over 4 evenings in September 2024. A ZWO ASI2600MM Pro camera was used, through an 8-inch Teleskop-Service Ritchey-Chretien reflector.
