Pier Distortions in Time and Space
Winner of Horsham Photographic Society annual Panel of Four Competition June 2024
All pictures taken on Brighton pier.
Images 1 and 4 are distortions in time, each being the superposition of 5 individual images, with the opacity of each adjusted so that all were visible. I was careful to select images containing one person who was apparently aware of my presence, providing 'bookends' on the extreme left and right.
Images 2 and 3 are distortions in space, straight lines suitably bent by a Samyang 8mm full-frame fisheye lens, on an APS-C camera.
