This large spiral galaxy in the constellation Pisces is around 30 million lightyears distant. With a diameter of around 95,000 lightyears, it is almost as large as our own galaxy. It's low surface brightness renders it the most difficult object to observe in the Messier catalogue.
The image is the result of 10h 30m of LRGB data capture from Horsham, over 3 evenings in December 2022. A ZWO ASI2600MM Pro monochrome camera was used, through an 8-inch Teleskop-Service Ritchey-Chretien Cassegrain reflector.
