This nebula in Sagittarius is around 5500 lightyears distant. The nebula is one of the largest star-forming regions in the galaxy and the embedded star cluster is thought to be only a million years old.
This LRGBHa image is the result of 55m of data capture on an evening in August 2021, remotely imaged from Spain with an SBIG STL-6303 camera through a 12.5-inch Planewave CDK reflector.
