The radiation pressure from the stars comprising Melotte 15 at the centre of IC 1805, has sculpted the shape of the wider Heart Nebula, which is outside this image. Most images show the Heart Nebula in it's entirety, so this image is unusual. It is the result of 9h of data capture over 3 evenings in December 2019 and January 2020.
The star cluster and surrounding nebula are around 7500 lightyears away.
ZWO ASI294MC Pro camera through a Teleskop-Service 8-inch Ritchey-Chretien telescope.
