This shows the central part of the Abell 426 galaxy cluster in Perseus. The cluster contains thousands of galaxies, of which the brightest 60 were captured in this 25x20 arcminute image.
The brightest is the Seyfert galaxy NGC 1275, which is also the Perseus A radio source.
The cluster of galaxies and enveloping multimillion-degree gas, is one of the most massive objects known.
The image is the result of 1.5 hours of data capture, on an evening in December 2019.
