Star Clusters
Messier 35 and NGC 2158 in Gemini
The M35 open cluster at the upper left is around 3,900 lightyears distant. The NGC 2158 cluster at bottom right is approximately 2 billion years old, consisting of older yellower stars. It is perhaps 9000 lightyears further away than M35.
This image is the result of approx 1.5h of data capture (47x2min) on an evening in December 2019.
