Messier 42 - The Great Nebula in Orion
Approx 1300 lightyears distant and 24 lightyears in size, this iconic nebula has a huge dynamic range.
The image was produced by using layer masking in Photoshop CS6, working on a number of process stages, derived from a combination of 1 min and 15 sec exposures.
ZWO ASI294MC camera, through a Teleskop-Service 200mm Ritchey-Chretien telescope, using a Hutech IDAS-LPS-V4 filter.
