Nebulae
Messier 42 and NGC 1977 in Orion

Iconic M42 is on the right, while the NGC 1977 Running Man Nebula is on the left. A riot of colour because of the complex interweaving of emission, reflection and dark nebulosity.

The final result is a synthesis of ten process stages, derived from a number of 1min and 5min subframes. Layers and layer masks were used in Photoshop, to combine the high dynamic range of the target objects.
This is the result of a considerable amount of HDR processing of different images, to display the tremendous range in luminosity of different parts of the nebulae.

ZWO ASI071MC Pro camera through an Altair Astro 102ED telescope
A Hutech IDAS-LPS-V4 nebula filter was used.
